Mmm delicious - I suggest you cut these rich, chocolate covered toffee bars into small pieces. Salted soda crackers may seem odd, but a little salt brings out the sweetness. Approximately 24 regular salted soda crackers Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a 13 x 9 inch (3.5 L) pan with Chefs Select Parchment Paper for easy cleanup. Arrange soda crackers evenly in pan. In saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in brown sugar until melted and smooth. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Boil for 2 minutes, then pour mixture evenly over crackers. Bake in oven 5 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate pieces evenly over caramel. Return pan to oven just long enough to melt chocolate, 2 to 3 minutes. Spread chocolate evenly with a metal spatula. Place pan in refrigerator or freezer until chocolate is firm. Cut or break into pieces. Makes about 3 dozen pieces. |
