Felice's Easy Open Face Low Fat Tuna Melt

Heating the tuna and cheese on Chefs Select Parchment paper makes it easy to slide on toast and keeps the bread crisp.

 

1 slice whole wheat bread

1 can water-packed tuna, drained

1 to 2 tablespoons low fat mayonnaise

salt and pepper

1 slice low fat hard cheese (Jack, Swiss or Cheddar)

 

Toast bread in toaster.

 

Mix tuna with mayonnaise and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Put one scoop tuna on a piece of Chefs Select Parchment Paper on a microwavable plate (for easier handling). Place cheese on top and microwave for 30 seconds on high or until cheese melts and tuna is warm (heating time will vary according to microwave wattage).

 

Slide tuna on toast and enjoy. Makes 1 serving.
