Valentine Hearts are easy to make and impressive. Chefs Select non-stick parchment paper plays a key role in making this so easy.

Melt Chocolate Pour Chocolate

1. Chop good quality semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate and place in a heatproof bowl over hot, not boiling, water.

2. Pour melted chocolate onto parchment paper lined baking sheet

Spread Chocolate Thin Cover with Parchment Paper

3. Spread chocolate thin with spatula

4. Place a second piece of parchment paper over chocolate

Roll chocolate Remove Parchment Paper

5. Use a rolling pin to roll an even 1/8 inch (.3 cm) thickness. Chill until set, about 5 minutes.

6. Carefully peel off top sheet of parchment paper.

Cut out chocolate hearts with cookie cutter Store chocolate hearts

7. Using metal cookie cutters of various sizes, cut out heart shapes. If chocolate is too brittle to cut, let stand at room temperature a few minutes

8. Store decorations in covered container in refrigerator.

Tip: Save any remaining pieces to melt down and reuse another time.
